People + Culture Manager:

As a People and Culture Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. You will oversee all aspects of human resources management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and compliance. Additionally, you will play a key role in shaping and fostering a positive organizational culture that promotes employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Develop and execute onboarding programs to ensure new employees are integrated smoothly into the organization.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations and career development planning.
  • Handle employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees as needed.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance employs skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address organizational challenges and drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion initiatives to promote a positive organizational culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Operate cross-functionally to bring forward HR solutions that will improve business results through lowering turnover, increasing retention, and developing high-performing team members.
  • Provide timely and valuable consultation on performance management and employee relations issues.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests and inquiries to support business leaders.
  • Create HR projects from beginning to end, using project management methodologies and tools.
  • Abide by policies and procedures that support the service mindset.
  • Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly.
  • Earn the trust of Team Members and Managers by consistently embracing CAVA's values.
  • Show discipline in bringing consistent performance, communication, and attitude to the job every day.
  • Actively contribute to your department in order to complete tasks and meet company goals.
  • Recognize the emotional stake each Team Member has in personal and organizational success of this business.
The Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of proven success in a Human Resources Manager or Human Resources Business Partner role serving multi-unit retail/restaurant/hospitality.
  • 2-3 + years of managerial experience leading direct reports.
  • Seek to understand, be a critical thinker, with a methodical approach to problem solving and providing the best outcome.
  • Success at executing plans, project management, follow up, dealing with ambiguity and adapting to rapid change.
  • Make decisions from years of experience, analysis, judgement and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate so that the message is understood both in verbal and written communication.
  • Work with a sense of urgency and understand importance.
  • Successful at multi-tasking and prioritizing work.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicabl
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
