Position Overview

The role of the cashier is to warmly welcome and assist patrons in alignment with Que For the People's quality standards while effectively managing customer flow. This position requires a hospitality-oriented individual who is friendly, authentic, and engaging, as well as efficient and precise to guarantee an exceptional experience for all guests.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively communicates with customers both in person and over the phone, ensuring clarity and understanding using established phrases.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all areas are stocked and ready for service.
  • Completes assigned side tasks to support overall operations.
  • May assist customers with their orders, app downloads, curbside service, and more.
  • Practices safe food and beverage handling procedures in compliance with local health regulations.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a high-volume, casual dining environment or similar service setting is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, unless otherwise permitted by law.
  • High energy and stamina are essential; able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 10 hours daily, is preferred.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Must remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Flexible availability for shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to perform essential functions and meet company standards with reasonable accommodations.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary.
