We are a growing real estate company in search of a COO to take the helm of our operational activities. This is a pivotal role that involves making crucial business decisions and overseeing the execution of the company's business strategies. The ideal candidate must demonstrate effective leadership skills, the drive for achieving operational excellence, and an exceptional understanding of the real estate marketplace.


Responsibilities:

  1. Translate founder/CEO’s vision into actionable business strategies and operational plans, ensuring alignment and effective execution across all levels of the organization. Oversee their execution from both top-down and bottom-up perspectives to maximize alignment and operational effectiveness.
  2. Lead financial planning, strategy development, and spearhead preparing accurate and timely financial reporting and accounting practices to improve performance, ensure compliance with budgetary goals, and manage external relationships with outside counsel, CPA firms, and insurance providers. Handle all aspects of finance, including building and managing investment portfolios, obtaining financing or investors.
  3. Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies north star to increase growth, profitability, and market leadership, coordinating efforts across all company departments and subsidiaries. Performance Management: Create and monitor key performance metrics and operational KPIs relevant to our North Star to ensure targets are met or exceeded, adjusting as needed to drive performance.   4. Provide strategic guidance and oversight across all subsidiaries, managing and expanding all company operations and departments, including shared functions like accounting, legal, and operations, as well as individual company teams. Operational Strategy: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives, optimizing processes and resource allocation.
  5. Manage and mentor all internal teams, creating a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development. Proactively identify challenges and implement strategies to mitigate risks, serving as the primary point of contact for client, investor and deal flow contacts with concerns and problems to ensure timely resolution. They will collaborate with relevant teams to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving while reporting on the status of ongoing issues to the executive team.
  6. Create a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation throughout the organization, supporting and leading internal teams and external relationships. Design and implement a company playbook to improve organizational effectiveness.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting. An MBA is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in an executive role in a real estate company or a similar industry.
  3. Solid understanding of the real estate market and operational processes.
  4. Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to make decisive, informed decisions.
  5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Proficiency in managing budgets, strategic planning, and resources.
