Position Overview

The Mechanical Equipment Engineer will provide essential technical expertise in mechanical systems by designing, managing, and implementing equipment solutions aligned with departmental business objectives to ensure sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the established E-Flow (evaluation flow) for investment projects to meet business plan goals.
  • Conduct equipment improvement initiatives and facilitate decision-making processes to enhance performance, enabling every associate to thrive.
  • Ensure compliance with equipment installation standards (drawings, compliance, data) to effectively enhance MTBF (mean time between failures) and MTTR (mean time to repair).
  • Drive and support engineering solutions to address complex challenges and achieve departmental objectives.
  • Assist in the introduction of new technologies and provide relevant technical training to promote continuous process improvements.
  • Utilize data analysis and customer feedback to identify potential issues and implement corrective measures to minimize impacts on SQCDME (safety, quality, cost, delivery, morale, environmental).
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures to ensure long-term production sustainability.
  • Enhance the capabilities of self and colleagues through training and knowledge sharing to foster team skill development.
  • Communicate engineering knowledge and updates effectively to all internal and external stakeholders to strengthen departmental and plant performance.
  • Identify equipment-related gaps and lead or participate in initiatives to improve SQCDME (safety, quality, cost, delivery, morale, environmental).

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 0-6 years of engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Catia 3D Design or similar 3D design software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to create and deliver technical presentations.
  • Strong teaching and communication skills.
  • Experience in a manufacturing production environment (40 hours per week).
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and during shutdowns as needed.
  • Experience with automated and robotic equipment cells.
