Position Overview:
- The Robotic Field Engineer will oversee all operational challenges related to system software, robotics, structures, and stations, while prioritizing daily tasks at client locations.
- Collaborate with the support team to proactively identify operational issues and address them during scheduled downtimes.
- The ideal candidate will possess a hands-on approach, with electro-mechanical skills and familiarity with Linux/command line, while effectively managing client relationships.
- Oversee system operations and resolve issues on a daily basis.
- Communicate effectively with on-site operations and support teams.
- Troubleshoot and maintain all robotic and structural issues that disrupt operations.
- Gather information on identified system issues daily and relay feedback to the support team.
- Implement recommendations from the alert support team and provide updates accordingly.
- Execute any engineering upgrades or reworks as recommended.
- Complete quality checklists and submit them to the designated alert lead.
- Ensure all electro-mechanical tools and spare parts are maintained in optimal condition.
- Ability to lift and move totes weighing up to 49 pounds.
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching above and below the waist.
- Capable of lifting parts and tools averaging 20 pounds, with occasional weights up to 50 pounds.
- Full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists.
- Ability to safely climb ladders and gangways.
- Engage in continual standing and/or walking, averaging 2 miles daily.
- Promote and maintain good housekeeping practices.
- This position requires a flexible shift schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Self-motivated with a strong customer-centric approach.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electro-mechanical technician, with an associate degree in Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical fields, or a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in automated systems and software controls, electrical and electronic principles, and technical skills including familiarity with Linux, Java, XML, SQL, databases, and PLC programming.
- Degree focused on Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical fields.
- Ability to lead and influence team members.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workloads.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
- Leadership experience and the ability to mentor others.
Eligible candidates will receive benefits through Apex during the contract period, including 401K, medical/health benefits options, a W2 hourly rate, weekly pay, and direct deposit.
