Position Overview
Provide expert technical guidance for mechanical systems by designing, managing, and implementing equipment solutions aligned with departmental business objectives to ensure sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, manage, and execute established E-Flow (evaluation flow) for investment initiatives to meet business targets.
• Conduct equipment enhancement activities and decision-making processes to improve characteristics that empower every associate.
• Ensure adherence to equipment installation standards (drawings, compliance, data) to effectively enhance MTBF (mean time between failures) and MTTR (mean time to repair).
• Drive, support, and create engineering solutions to resolve complex challenges in pursuit of departmental objectives.
• Facilitate the introduction of new technologies and provide related technical training to promote continuous process enhancements.
• Utilize data analysis and customer feedback to identify potential issues and implement countermeasures to mitigate impacts on SQCDME (safety, quality, cost, delivery, morale, environmental).
• Develop and maintain technical documentation/procedures to fulfill design intent for long-term production sustainability.
• Enhance the capabilities of oneself, colleagues, and the team through training and sharing experiences to ensure growth in technical skill sets.
• Share engineering expertise and updates through verbal and written communication with all internal and external stakeholders to strengthen departmental and plant attributes.
• Identify equipment-related gaps and lead or actively participate in initiatives to enhance SQCDME (safety, quality, cost, delivery, morale, environmental).
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 0-6 years of engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Catia 3D Design or similar 3D design software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to create and deliver technical presentations.
- Capability to educate others.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to work 40 hours per week in a manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and during shutdowns as required by business needs.
- Experience with automated and robotic equipment cells.
