Robotic Systems Engineer

The Robotic Field Engineer role at Apex Systems involves overseeing operational challenges related to System Software, Robotics, Structures, and Stations while prioritizing daily tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily system operations and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with on-site Operations and Support teams for effective communication.
- Identify and resolve all robotic and structural issues that disrupt operations.
- Gather daily data on system issues and relay feedback to the Support team.
- Implement recommendations from the Alert Support team and provide timely updates.
- Execute engineering upgrades or modifications as needed.
- Complete quality assurance checklists and submit them to the designated Alert Lead.
- Ensure all electro-mechanical tools and spare parts are maintained in optimal condition.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to:
- Lift and transport items weighing up to 49 pounds.
- Engage in regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching activities.
- Handle tools and parts averaging 20 pounds, with occasional weights up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrate full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists.
- Safely climb ladders and gangways without limitations.
- Walk an average of 2 miles daily while standing for extended periods.
Operational Support & Customer Engagement:
The role requires:
- Promotion of effective housekeeping practices.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- A self-motivated, customer-focused approach to work.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an electro-mechanical technician.
- An Associate degree with two years of experience in Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical fields, or a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with automated systems, software controls, and electrical principles.
- Technical skills including familiarity with Linux, Java, XML, SQL, databases, and PLC programming.
Preferred Skills:
Ideal candidates will have:
- A degree focused on Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical disciplines.
- The ability to lead and influence team members.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Leadership experience and the capability to mentor others.
