Position Overview:
The Robotic Systems Engineer will oversee all operational challenges related to System Software, Robotics, Structures, and Stations, while prioritizing daily tasks at client locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage system operations and troubleshoot issues on a daily basis.
  • Effectively communicate with on-site Operations and Support teams.
  • Maintain and resolve all robotic and structural issues that disrupt operations.
  • Gather daily information on system issues and relay feedback to the Support team.
  • Implement suggestions from the Alert Support team and provide necessary updates.
  • Carry out engineering-recommended upgrades or modifications.
  • Complete quality checklists and submit them to the relevant Alert Lead.
  • Ensure all electro-mechanical tools and spare parts are maintained in optimal condition.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and transport totes weighing up to 49 pounds.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching activities.
  • Handle parts and tools averaging 20 pounds, with occasional weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists is required.
  • Capability to safely climb ladders and gangways without restrictions.
  • Engage in continual standing and/or walking, averaging 2 miles daily.

Operational Support & Customer Service:
  • Encourage and practice effective housekeeping methods.
  • This position may require working a shift schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Flexibility in work hours and days is essential to support a 7-day-a-week operation.
  • Must be self-motivated and focused on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electro-mechanical technician, with an Associate degree in Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical fields, or a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with automated systems and software controls, as well as knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
  • Technical skills should include familiarity with Linux, Java, XML, SQL, databases, and PLC programming.

Preferred Skills:
  • Degree focused on Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Able to lead, manage, and influence team members effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-driven, customer-focused, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to mentor colleagues.
