Position Overview

The Human Resources Specialist will provide essential coordination and administration of the Human Resources services at Seven Hills Foundation, as directed by the Vice President of Human Resources.

This role acts as a strategic partner to our Affiliates, working with a significant degree of autonomy while under the guidance of the Vice President of Human Resources or their appointed representative. Key Responsibilities

The HR Specialist will focus on managing internships and special groups throughout the organization. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilizing comprehensive program knowledge to develop and maintain program records, systems, and data collection.
  • Effectively communicating Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs to employees.
  • Addressing routine employee relations matters, including complaint investigations and disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinating both routine and non-routine administrative tasks.
  • Supporting recruitment efforts, including targeted recruitment and participation in job fairs.
  • Facilitating employee onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Collecting and maintaining relevant data while preparing necessary reports, including EEO, OSHA, VETs, and performance evaluations.
  • Assisting with leave administration, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and other regulations, and aiding in decision-making based on gathered information.
  • Managing workers' compensation administration and claims investigations.
  • Overseeing unemployment compensation claims and related data collection.
  • Coordinating internship placements and assisting in the administration of internship programs.
  • Contributing to the development of job descriptions as needed.
  • Participating in employee meetings during open enrollment, presenting benefits summaries, and addressing employee inquiries regarding benefits.
  • Representing the Human Resources Office on various committees as required.
  • Conducting periodic site visits to assigned program areas to gauge employee satisfaction and address inquiries related to Human Resource initiatives.
  • Engaging in various Foundation and Affiliate meetings, as well as outside conferences, informational meetings, and career/job fairs as necessary.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a healthcare, higher education, or non-profit human services environment.

Alternatively, a combination of relevant experience totaling a minimum of five (5) years in HR may be considered in lieu of a degree.

A valid Driver's License is required, and some travel may be necessary.
