Ethos BeathChapman is seeking a Senior TM1 Planning Analytics Consultant for a pivotal role in our consulting team.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.

The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 7 years of consulting experience with Cognos TM1, demonstrating expertise in financial planning, analytics, accounting, and information systems.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proficient in managing financial, planning, and analytical systems.
  • Experienced in change management and enhancing financial processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams.
  • Adept at conducting business process analysis, requirements analysis, and reviewing technical designs.
  • Expertise in software suites including Cognos BI, TM1, and Planning Analytics.
  • Experience with Planning Analytics, PAx, and PAW is essential.
  • Competent in SQL/MDX scripting.
  • Familiarity with Python programming.
  • Experience with REST API integration.
  • Knowledge of Linux is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement recommendations from senior management regarding the development of new Planning Analytics applications or enhancements to existing systems.
  • Design, construct, and test Planning Analytics application logic, modifying application code for complex solutions.
  • Oversee the implementation of significant enhancements to current Planning Analytics applications.
  • Lead the deployment of major new Planning Analytics applications with enterprise-wide implications.
  • Planning Analytics, PAx, and PAW experience is essential.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to gather business requirements and develop functional specifications.
  • Create and present Proof of Concept to stakeholders, seeking approval for solution development.
  • Implement TM1 solutions utilizing TM1 Rules and Turbo Integrator processes.
  • Exhibit a proactive working attitude.
  • Establish TM1 security protocols across implementations.
  • Conduct training sessions on Planning Analytics for end-users.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in TM1 application development and maintenance.
  • Solid experience (5+ years) with IBM Cognos TM1 Suite (version 10.x) from requirements gathering to deployment.
  • Planning Analytics, PAx, and PAW experience is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with Turbo Integrator and TM1 Rules, including performance tuning of applications.
  • Familiarity with technical design processes and models.
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as RUP, Agile, and Waterfall.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical skills to investigate information and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to identify operational challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a proactive manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of IBM Planning Analytics, Cognos BI, and ETL processes.
  • Cognos TM1 Certification is a plus.
