The Patient Access department presents an exciting opportunity for full-time Patient Registration Representatives across various locations.


Key Responsibilities:
Conduct all on-site patient access registration functions efficiently while ensuring patient safety, quality, service standards, and reimbursement compliance.
Adhere to all established UHealth policies and procedures related to Patient Access as well as State and Federal regulations.

Identify and collect patient self-pay responsibilities, including co-pays, deductibles, co-insurances, self-pay discount rates, global packages, and outstanding balances for both technical and professional components.


Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (English/Spanish, English/Creole, English/French, English/Arabic) are advantageous.
Strong critical thinking, analytical, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and customer service skills are essential.
Proficient mathematical and cash management abilities.
Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
Capacity to function as a vital team member with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, complex, and high-pressure environment.

Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, colleagues, other departments, and patients of diverse ages and backgrounds.

Proficient in computer usage and capable of navigating multiple systems, acquiring proficiency in various electronic systems.


Minimum Qualifications:
A High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Experience as a Patient Access Representative: Minimum of one (1) year in customer service; experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Experience as a Patient Access Representative: Minimum of two (2) years in customer service; experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Experience as a Patient Access Representative: Minimum of three (3) years in customer service; experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Any relevant combination of education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
