About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources/Payroll Manager to join our team at Park View. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our management team and ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Management: Process payroll, prepare bi-weekly payroll, update schedules in time clock, review and track hours worked, and monitor overtime.
  • Employee Relations: Plan and conduct new employee orientation, advise management on employee relations issues, respond to inquiries regarding policies and procedures, and administer new hire orientation.
  • Performance Management: Plan and assign performance appraisals, reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems, and monitor employee counseling and disciplinary actions.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, regulations, and company policies, and advise management on hiring decisions, equal employment opportunity, compensation, benefits, and health/safety issues.
  • HR Operations: Prepare employee personnel files, complete reference checks, criminal background checks, and professional license checks, and work as a liaison with Corporate HR.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 1 year of experience leading a human resources or operations department in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Payroll Experience: Experience with payroll processing and management.
  • HR Responsibility Experience: Experience with HR responsibilities, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of employment laws, nursing staffing, and payroll management systems such as OnShift.
