About the Role

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Operations Specialist to join our team in Chicago. This is a hybrid role, with three days spent in the office and two days working remotely.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to administer human resources processes and procedures that support the complete employee lifecycle. This includes recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compensation, performance management, learning management, and offboarding. The successful candidate will also be responsible for administering the technologies that support these various aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of employment information maintained within the systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer human resources processes and procedures to support the complete employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compensation, performance management, learning management, and offboarding.
  • Administer the technologies that support these various aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of employment information maintained within the systems.
  • Maintain accurate and complete employee records and files in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain data quality and perform data audits to ensure data integrity, including data required for bi-weekly payroll.
  • Collaborate with system users to provide technical support, solicit ideas for system improvements, and ensure adoption and ease of use.
  • Perform research, analysis, troubleshooting, and resolve issues related to HR technology.
  • Maintain current knowledge base of all system functionality.
  • Develop and analyze employee-data reports, including dashboards, and assist with human resource data requests for all levels of management.
  • Develop, review, and update system documentation, including user procedures, guidelines, and other documentation.
  • Develop and maintain training resources, communications, and provide training and assistance to users in support of the systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in human resources functions, policies, procedures, and technology.
Requirements
  • 3 years of system administration experience with a cloud-based human capital management solution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources & Industrial Relations or a related field.
