Role Overview:

The Service Operations Leader within the compressed air commercial division is tasked with overseeing the local service operations throughout the entire equipment lifecycle to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction. This role involves supporting the sales team to expand business opportunities, coordinating with service operations, and managing a team of Service Technicians responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various air compressor systems and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attract, mentor, guide, and retain service personnel while driving continuous improvement through performance management and technical training programs. Enhance employee skills in customer service, process improvement, and technical expertise.
  • Work closely with service coordination to respond promptly to customer needs, ensuring that technicians' skills align with service requirements, and optimize resource allocation across the service area.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to discuss service agreements, participate in customer meetings to foster new business, and provide service support for installations.
  • Enhance cash flow by ensuring timely invoicing post-service completion and accurate warranty claims, while managing expenses and improving service team utilization.
  • Oversee service team inventory management to ensure accuracy, minimize write-offs, and comply with regulatory standards through diligent reporting and regular audits.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations within the service team, providing necessary training to maintain safe work practices.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support service operations and uphold customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial sales environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in team management.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record for at least 12 months.
  • This role is physically demanding, requiring regular use of hands, walking, and the ability to lift and move weights as per safety policies.

Core Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities, including conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing teams, processes, and budgets.
  • Ability to work in diverse environments, including mechanical equipment rooms and exposure to varying weather conditions.

Travel & Work Arrangements:

  • This position is primarily based at our facility, with minimal travel expected.
