What does the role entail? As an Operations Manager, you will oversee the strategic direction, guidance, and safety of our warehouse operations. Your priority will be the health and safety of our team while driving productivity and efficiency. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives across various teams and projects, monitor progress, provide recommendations, and support implementation efforts. Additionally, you will promote our ONE KDP culture by offering leadership, communication, and performance management to your onsite managers and team members, fostering their growth and development.
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing diverse teams, including talent acquisition, leadership development, career coaching, and oversight of warehouse operations.
- Empowering your team to address daily operational challenges and achieve both short- and long-term performance objectives while cultivating a work environment characterized by urgency, integrity, and trust.
- Implementing company policies and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, including the enforcement of safety, food safety, and environmental regulations.
- Utilizing data effectively to navigate various situations and demonstrating high emotional intelligence when assessing impacts on personnel.
- Collaborating with internal partners to meet customer demands and deliver exceptional service.
- Flexibly transitioning between hands-on tactical and strategic responsibilities as needed.
- Managing challenging situations and determining optimal solutions that affect personnel, customers, and costs.
- Applying change management expertise while effectively communicating changes to frontline associates.
Qualifications Required:
- A high school diploma or GED with 5 years of experience in a distribution center or DSD warehouse environment, or a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field with 3 years of experience in a distribution center or DSD warehouse environment.
- Previous leadership experience in a distribution center or operational setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
