The Regional Operations Leader is responsible for the proactive management of regional field service resources, ensuring responsive customer service and optimal corporate performance. This role involves directing and coordinating all field service activities within the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the entire regional field service organization, maintaining communication with Field Service Technicians, customers, and dealers, while also traveling to the field to uphold quality service standards. Ensure daily field operations meet contractual obligations (including preventative maintenance, call-backs, and response times) while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage remote Field Service Technicians.
- Optimize regional service staffing and manpower utilization by proactively adjusting territories and personnel to deliver the highest quality of service to customers.
- Manage the annual budget for the assigned region, encompassing payroll, parts, travel, space leasing, and other operational costs.
- Develop training plans for entry-level technicians in the region and coordinate training sessions with the Training Manager. Assess the expertise of field technicians to identify additional training needs and schedule accordingly.
- Conduct thorough performance evaluations, both formally and informally, documenting any corrective actions taken with technicians and providing coaching to support their success.
- Maintain a management approach that positively influences employees, Field Service Technicians, and managers.
- Pursue continuous self-improvement through educational development, competitive analysis, and other means.
- Make hiring decisions and select candidates for the team.
- Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or 5-7 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-7 years of related experience.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with Service Now.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to manage high-pressure situations and multitask effectively.
- Able to thrive in a flexible, dynamic work environment.
