Position Overview

Personal Choice Investment Services (PCIS) is a rapidly expanding entity that assists organizations and their workforce in managing brokerage-related offerings within their retirement plans. Our growth is driven by delivering a premier platform tailored to meet the retirement plan requirements of Plan Sponsors, Participants, Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), and Investment Advisors.

As the Manager of Cashiering Services, you will oversee a team of 5-10 skilled professionals dedicated to the management of financial transactions for PCIS. This role demands a leader who comprehends the essentials of team management and recognizes the expectations necessary to provide exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the financial transaction systems utilized at Schwab. This position requires consistent high-level performance aligned with quality objectives set by the Director, reflecting the needs and expectations of our corporate clients and plan providers while adhering to team standards.

This managerial role will inspire, motivate, and cultivate a diverse team responsible for executing our organization's mission and vision. Reporting directly to the Director of PCIS Operations, your responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing all team personnel and activities related to financial transactions, including wires and approvals.
  • Setting annual performance goals for the team; coaching and guiding team members to achieve these goals while addressing performance challenges promptly and respectfully.
  • Enhancing operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Supporting the team in establishing critical controls to mitigate risks in our operations.
  • Fostering and strengthening relationships within Schwab, particularly with Schwab Retirement Plan Service, Charles Schwab Trust Bank, Schwab Retirement Technologies, and Institutional PCRA clients.
  • Effectively managing multiple priorities to balance high productivity with superior service quality while meeting or exceeding established service level expectations.
  • Executing responsibilities with confidence, minimal oversight, and sound judgment to reduce risk for the organization.
    • Complying with all regulatory and risk management procedures while adhering to corporate and industry standards.
    • Completing additional assignments and projects as directed by management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cashiering.
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with regulations governing qualified retirement plans and a working knowledge of ERISA is preferred.
  • Exceptional service and client interaction skills, complemented by strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, excellent operational, organizational, and follow-up skills with the capacity to manage and process complex tasks.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve intricate issues within a team setting, collaborating with various management levels and business partners.
  • Capability to work collaboratively across multiple locations, ensuring a consistent approach with associates and clients.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, with a history of establishing proactive and constructive dialogue with senior leaders and peers.
  • Strong technical proficiency, with the ability to utilize various applications simultaneously, including MS Word and Excel, internet research, database systems, and email.
  • Positive demeanor, high emotional intelligence, team-oriented mindset, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strong work ethic characterized by integrity and ethical standards.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
