Position Overview:

Nothing Bundt Cakes is seeking a Pastry Operations Supervisor who possesses a friendly demeanor, excellent organizational capabilities, a strong work ethic, and a passion for growth to help sustain our thriving business.

The Pastry Operations Supervisor will start by gaining hands-on experience in various departments, acquiring a deep understanding of operations and mastering the necessary skills. This individual will collaborate closely with our current Pastry Operations Supervisor, Area Operations Manager, and/or owners to learn the intricacies of management and leadership within the bakery environment. Ultimately, the Pastry Operations Supervisor will independently oversee shifts.

This role presents a unique opportunity for the right candidate and could lead to numerous career paths as our business expands.

The Pastry Operations Supervisor will receive a starting salary ranging from $37,440 - $41,600 annually, contingent upon experience, motivation, adaptability, and eagerness to learn. Additional compensation and benefits, including paid vacation, monthly performance bonuses, mileage reimbursement, and other perks, are also available. Medical, dental, and vision benefits will be offered after a brief waiting period.

The Pastry Operations Supervisor will learn to mentor a team and manage a schedule of 15-25 staff members, ensuring seamless operations in both the front and back of the bakery.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountability: Take full ownership of fostering a welcoming work atmosphere committed to Building Genuine Connections, prioritizing outstanding service and high-quality products. Set goals and demonstrate reliability.

Communication: Facilitate effective communication with team members, Area Managers, Owners, Vendors, and Customers. Maintain responsiveness through various platforms and provide honest updates during weekly visits.

Training and Development: Oversee the onboarding and training process. Identify suitable trainers for new hires and nurture future leaders. Offer ongoing coaching and support to team members.

Operations: Lead and manage a team of 15-25 employees, ensuring efficient operations in both front and back of the bakery. Supervise baking, frosting, utility, crafting, and guest service departments. Maintain cleanliness and manage inventory, ordering supplies weekly.

Guest Service: Guarantee an exceptional guest experience by minimizing wait times and delivering superior service. Represent the bakery professionally and handle guest interactions positively. Adhere to Guest Service Brand Standards and lead by example.

Financial Performance: Oversee the bakery's profitability. Achieve COGS and labor percentage targets while minimizing waste.

Marketing and Events: Lead marketing initiatives and coordinate events. Stay informed about all promotions and offers.

Reporting: Accurately complete all required reports and trackers, including schedules, sales reports, and labor reports.

Independence: Manage the bakery independently without requiring assistance for shift coverage. Develop solutions for operational challenges autonomously.

Holiday/Event Execution: Effectively manage high-volume days. Maintain composure under pressure and ensure adequate inventory and staffing during peak periods.

Flexibility: Be willing to work any day or time when the bakery is short-staffed. Assist at other locations or travel for training and meetings as necessary.

Team Management: Provide effective coaching and lead by example. Make decisions regarding team fit and part ways with team members when necessary.

Genuine Connections: Engage with the team and ensure they are receptive to your leadership. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
