Role Summary:

This position is essential within our Prepared Foods division. The Safety and Security Specialist is responsible for overseeing the flow of traffic into and out of the facility. We are looking for candidates available for evening and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and team members, ensuring only authorized personnel access the facility.
  • Maintain constant communication with truck drivers, vendors, customers, and team members.
  • Manage phone communications and coordinate with Material Handling regarding load statuses.
  • Monitor items entering and exiting the facility, enforcing company policies.
  • Inspect all carry-in items such as bags and toolboxes.
  • Prepare investigative reports as necessary.
  • Conduct preliminary investigations of incidents, including accidents and thefts.
  • Perform regular patrols to ensure the security of the physical premises.
  • Log vehicle traffic during entry and exit, inspecting all vehicles entering the facility.
  • Operate switchboard and manage two-way radio communications.
  • Shift assignments will be determined upon job offer.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: While supervisory and investigative skills are beneficial, necessary training will be provided for successful candidates. Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities are essential, with a focus on respectful interaction with all team members.

Special Skills: Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion is required.

Eligibility: Candidates must reside in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
