Overview: The Sales Territory Executive, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, is tasked with driving revenue generation within a designated geographic sales area. This role encompasses the Northwest Illinois region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire a comprehensive technical understanding of the products available and their applications for customers. Enhance professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, industry publications, and networking.
  • Establish new client relationships while nurturing existing accounts by collaborating with customer contacts and vendor networks. Identify prospective clients and emerging markets within the assigned territory.
  • Strategically plan, organize, and execute a schedule for sales calls.
  • Collaborate with internal Engineering and Technical Support teams to propose enhancements by evaluating cost-benefit analyses of equipment, supplies, or service applications.
  • Demonstrate cost-saving opportunities and operational enhancements to build customer trust and confidence.
  • Prepare and present technical demonstrations to elucidate products or services to clients and potential clients.
  • Manage projects that include material recommendations, selection and pricing, proposal preparation, closing sales, and ensuring adherence to critical deadlines.
  • Engage in the development of both short-term and long-term sales strategies to achieve or surpass management-approved sales objectives.
  • Document daily sales activities using customer relationship management (CRM) software.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • 1-3 years of proven success in Outside Business-to-Business Sales.
  • Demonstrated achievements in New Business Development and Account Management.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or marketing is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adept at multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel within the sales territory; some overnight travel may be necessary.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience with industrial pump, filtration, hose, or fluid handling equipment is advantageous.
