Position Summary

The Equity Initiatives Manager will play a crucial role within the Renewable Energy Sector, focusing on building and strengthening partnerships with community organizations. This role involves managing a portfolio of initiatives aimed at enhancing access to solar and storage solutions, particularly for underserved communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the adoption of clean energy technologies, particularly for low-income and racially diverse communities.
  • Collaborate with outreach teams to establish relationships with community organizations, identifying barriers and opportunities for investment in renewable energy.
  • Oversee an annual budget for projects and initiatives within the Renewable Energy team.
  • Work with coalition partners to prepare for and execute federal funding initiatives.
  • Align community engagement strategies with internal teams to ensure effective outreach.
  • Support efforts to diversify the contractor network and connect trade allies with community organizations.
  • Provide assistance and support to stakeholders pursuing renewable energy projects.
  • Apply an equity lens to enhance program outcomes for historically underserved communities.
  • Present program offerings in public forums.
  • Maintain organized records of project information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in communications, program management, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience working in diverse teams and settings.
  • Strong skills in inclusive stakeholder engagement and communication.
  • Proven ability to facilitate collaboration among diverse groups.
  • Experience in managing contracts and contractors.
  • Technical knowledge in renewable energy or energy efficiency is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
