CAD Technician Job Description

As a CAD Technician at CONSOR Engineers, you will play a key role in providing technical drafting support and assisting in the preparation of plans for various municipal and transportation infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include reviewing engineering drawing packages in collaboration with project managers and engineers, working on planning documents, preliminary designs, detailed designs, and permitting documents. This position reports to the project manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review construction plans, details, and figures for drafting and design.
  • Transform initial rough designs, sketches, and mark-ups into finished plan drawings.
  • Generate engineering drawings for initial and conclusive plan sets, collaborating closely with other drafters and engineers.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documents and reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D software.
  • Office job primarily operates in a professional office environment.
  • Physical demands include sitting, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, standing, moving, reaching, and coordination.
