We are seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to enhance our team.

Job Overview

The Senior Engineering Project Manager is responsible for overseeing facility and process-related initiatives aimed at adding, modifying, or constructing new equipment and facilities tailored to chemical processing requirements.

This role involves conducting engineering design assessments and ensuring project completion within budgetary constraints. The manager will design, implement, and communicate a comprehensive operational strategy for project execution, while identifying and mobilizing the necessary resources.

Collaboration with various departments is essential to align their expertise with project development. The manager will proactively address operational challenges to minimize delays and may be tasked with generating cost justifications and capital request documents. Interaction with regulatory agencies is also a key component of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate plans and specifications for facility renovations or new constructions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Engage in interdepartmental collaboration during conceptual development, estimation, and final design phases.
  • Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on specific projects.
  • Develop standardized computerized specifications.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Document project status and costs from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate all necessary functions for assigned projects.
  • May oversee projects of moderate complexity, including facility design, construction, and equipment relocation.
  • Facilitate the preparation of technical documentation in collaboration with other engineering disciplines.
  • May have budgetary and scheduling responsibilities for projects.
  • Conduct field inspections as required.
  • Delegate tasks and provide guidance to junior staff as necessary.
Qualifications

Typically requires 5-8 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree, or 3-6 years of experience with a master's degree or equivalent qualifications.

A bachelor's degree is mandatory.

Skills and Competencies
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD LT or higher; MS Project experience is preferred.
  • PMP certification is desirable.
  • Experience in project management is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
