Position Overview:

The selected candidate will contribute to a variety of projects for municipal, industrial, and federal clients.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the planning and civil design processes on projects of varying scales. Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with engineers and design staff on civil engineering projects, focusing on water, wastewater, and recycled water systems, including pipelines and pumping stations.
  • Assisting in the preparation of engineering designs, reports, construction drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Applying knowledge of pipeline hydraulics for both open channels and closed conduits.
  • Drafting technical memoranda and electronic deliverables.
  • Conducting studies, permitting, master planning, and alternative analysis.
  • Performing field inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications during construction.
  • Engaging in site investigations as required for various projects.
  • Effectively communicating and coordinating with project teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Executing data collection, manipulation, analysis, and documentation tasks.
  • Coordinating civil project efforts with geotechnical, architectural, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Relevant coursework in fluid mechanics, hydraulics, structural analysis, soil mechanics, and surveying is advantageous.
  • Experience with engineering calculation software is beneficial.
  • Field and construction experience is a plus.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to communicate ideas visually and verbally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam is required.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary.
