Job Description

At Tait & Associates, Inc., we are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our Land Development and Public Works projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead project teams, provide technical guidance, and set clear objectives to ensure successful project execution.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring accountability and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with consultants and design teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, control costs, and handle contract changes to ensure project profitability.
  • Business Development: Support business development by preparing proposals and qualifications to secure new projects.
  • Staff Management: Develop and manage staff, defining roles and responsibilities to ensure effective project execution.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Prepare engineering reports and ensure regulatory compliance to meet project requirements.
  • Technical Expertise: Conduct calculations, cost estimates, and develop work plans to ensure project feasibility and success.
  • Client Management: Coordinate client management and marketing efforts to ensure effective communication and project promotion.
  • Presentations: Prepare presentations, conduct site visits, and document findings to ensure project success.
  • Hydrology and Hydraulic Analysis: Oversee hydrology, hydraulic, and flood analysis to ensure project feasibility and regulatory compliance.
  • Construction Alternatives: Propose construction alternatives and maintain regulatory knowledge to ensure project success.
  • Scheduling: Develop schedules, track progress, and meet deadlines to ensure project completion.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with departments, consultants, and agencies, and lead project meetings to ensure effective project execution.
  • Engineering Design Standards: Develop and uphold engineering design standards and guidelines to ensure project quality and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in Land Development and/or Public Works projects.
  • Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil3D, licensed PE in California, skilled in producing accurate construction plans and reports, able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision in a team environment, experienced in client interaction and leading diverse staff, strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and deadline management skills, highly organized, detail-oriented, and ready to take on additional responsibilities.
Benefits
  • Salary: $130,000/yr - $150,000/yr.
