Job Overview

The Procurement Specialist at Edge Electric, Inc. will play a crucial role in the acquisition of electrical components, materials, and supplies essential for our projects. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the electrical sector, alongside exceptional communication and negotiation capabilities, thriving in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging with project leaders, engineers, and other stakeholders to ascertain project requirements.
  • Performing market analysis to identify trustworthy suppliers and maintain an extensive supplier database.
  • Assessing supplier bids, negotiating costs and terms, and making purchasing choices in accordance with company guidelines and budgetary limits.
  • Issuing orders for electrical components, materials, and supplies, ensuring prompt delivery and compliance with project schedules.
  • Overseeing inventory levels and managing stock to prevent shortages or surpluses.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to address any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing discrepancies.
  • Keeping precise purchasing documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery confirmations.
  • Staying informed about industry developments, new products, and market trends to ensure competitive procurement.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Outstanding negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Preferred Certifications

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement or a similar role within the electrical contracting field.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical components, materials, and supplies commonly utilized in the industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
