JOB SUMMARY
The Purchasing Specialist plays a crucial role in collaborating with the Purchasing Manager to facilitate the procurement, expediting, and scheduling of material and service deliveries to various job sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compile and maintain an inventory list
- Confirm and coordinate the delivery of materials to job sites
- Keep accurate records of all procurement activities
- Engage with suppliers to guarantee the availability of essential products
- Organize and track all receipts
- Exhibit enthusiasm for learning about the construction process and spend time on-site
- Show a willingness to understand the operations of related departments (land acquisition, development, operations, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with construction teams, superintendents, and colleagues
- Interpret and comprehend building plans and product specifications
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment
- Ensure customer satisfaction at all levels
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or a related field
- Interest in market trends coupled with a strong business acumen
- Proficient in data collection and analysis
- Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail is essential.
