Job Overview

As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our operations by managing the purchasing process and ensuring the acquisition of high-quality goods and services. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough analysis of purchasing data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process enhancement.

• Research and evaluate potential suppliers for various goods and services.

• Collect and assess quotes, proposals, and purchase terms from vendors.

• Facilitate the procurement of goods or services as authorized by management.

• Negotiate and review vendor contracts to secure favorable terms.

• Monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate records.

• Act as the primary contact for vendor inquiries and concerns.

• Collaborate closely with Production and Sales teams to align purchasing strategies.

• Oversee inventory management and initiate purchase orders as necessary.

• Recommend innovative products, services, or materials in line with industry advancements.

• Engage in pricing discussions with external suppliers.

Qualifications:

Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is advantageous.

Experience:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing within a manufacturing context is essential.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience in an office environment is required.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is necessary.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, are required.

Skills:
• Familiarity with procurement software is beneficial.
• Proven experience in vendor management and procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities are crucial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal capabilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
