Position Overview

Fidelity TalentSource is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team within the Enterprise Infrastructure Group. This role is essential in enhancing the operational stability and availability of applications utilized by customer-facing associates.

Team Objectives

The primary focus of our team is to spearhead initiatives that ensure optimal performance and reliability of our systems. We are committed to delivering exceptional service levels to our users and enhancing the overall associate experience.

Required Expertise and Skills

  • Proficient understanding of ITIL methodologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
  • Experience in overseeing technology environment stability and reliability.
  • Background in IVR, VoIP, and Call Center technologies, whether on-premises or cloud-based.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development practices and project delivery.
  • Basic networking skills (ping, traceroute, DNS).
  • Experience with search and analytics tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK).
  • Proficient in managing Kubernetes clusters and troubleshooting related issues.
  • Experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems.
  • Capability in workflow design, data analysis, and requirements specification.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, including SaaS solutions and AWS.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related technologies.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Powershell and Python.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, particularly Java.
  • Experience in production support for financial systems.
  • Demonstrated creative and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective relationship management and facilitation skills.
  • Robust analytical and project management capabilities.
  • Willingness to provide 24/7 support for production environments.
  • Availability for support coverage during specified hours.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Understanding of the financial services sector is advantageous.
