Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the performance of Unix/Linux systems and infrastructure.
- Enhance system performance and reduce manual intervention through process improvements.
- Analyze operational support systems and software to maintain optimal system availability.
- Collaborate with vendors and technical teams to resolve issues effectively.
- Guide the team in achieving technical objectives while adhering to established process controls.
- Facilitate incident and change management across various applications and technologies.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement preventative measures for system issues.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and training materials for troubleshooting processes.
- Identify opportunities for automation to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Ensure compliance with quality and security standards in all supported areas.
- Perform regular maintenance and proactive assessments of the production environment.
- Manage incident and request ticket queues to ensure timely resolution.
- Minimum of 4 years in Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture.
- Extensive experience with Red Hat Linux or UNIX systems.
- Proven technical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience with patch management and system configuration.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and process documentation.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools, such as Ansible.
- Understanding of data center technologies including servers, storage, and networking.
- Experience with virtual environments and SAN technologies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within diverse teams.
- Proactive in skill development and staying updated with technology trends.
- On-site presence required for a minimum of three days per week.
- Availability for weekend and holiday shifts as necessary.
- Participation in on-call rotations as assigned.
