General Role Description

Deliver Technical Advisory Services (TAS) for the commissioning and warranty support of solar photovoltaic inverters and related electrical systems while adhering to project timelines and performance standards.

Role Accountabilities

1. Commission solar photovoltaic inverters according to project specifications.

2. Collect relevant information from authorized sources to evaluate project needs related to assigned responsibilities.

3. Fully comply with all company commissioning protocols and checklists.

4. Diagnose, rectify, and document all issues encountered during commissioning or warranty support.

5. Update schematics and project documentation to reflect the 'as installed' condition.

6. Lead specific components of client Final Acceptance Tests when designated.

7. Participate in factory witness tests to confirm equipment meets required specifications before arriving on-site.

8. Collaborate with vendors to address potential and identified issues based on testing outcomes.

9. Educate clients on system maintenance procedures and/or system operation to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

10. Train fellow field service personnel on company processes and product solutions to guarantee successful project execution, as necessary.

11. Identify new, site-specific opportunities through communication with clients and propose suitable solutions to management.

12. Provide regular, accurate, and thoughtful commissioning status and testing reports to relevant parties.

13. Maintain current safety qualifications appropriate to assigned tasks and adhere to both company and client safety protocols.

14. Manage site schedules, informing and coordinating personnel to comply with all site procedures and regulations as assigned, escalating issues to the appropriate manager.

15. Ensure that proper safety equipment is available and in good working order, as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED.

2. 1 year of experience in commissioning and servicing power distribution, power electronic, and rotating machine products.

3. Proven presentation skills.

4. Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility.

5. Established successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts.

6. Strong personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.

7. Proficiency in MS Office, software programming languages, and simulation tools.

8. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 75% of the time, often with limited notice.

9. Ability to work in outdoor environments in varying temperatures.

10. Capability to lift 50 lbs.

11. Ability to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent through education and/or work experience.

2. 3 years of experience commissioning power distribution, power electronic, and rotating machine products.

3. Demonstrated experience with Utility Scale Solar PV Inverters.

4. Familiarity with TMEIC engineering tools and product configuration tools.

5. Proven success in establishing working relationships with foreign parent or subsidiary companies.

6. Demonstrated success in coordinating the work of others to achieve assigned objectives.
