Position Overview:

The A&R Administrator plays a crucial role in identifying and nurturing musical talent for Rebellion Records. This position involves a blend of creative insight and organizational skills to support artists throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend various live performances, including concerts and showcases, to scout new talent.
  • Provide detailed evaluations and constructive feedback on new music submissions.
  • Identify and recommend promising artists for potential signing with Rebellion Records.
  • Engage with artist and band online platforms to discover emerging talent.
  • Research and curate new songs for the current roster of artists.
  • Facilitate and manage relationships with artists once they are signed.
  • Offer creative guidance and direction on the development of artists' projects.
  • Coordinate the booking of recording studios as necessary.
  • Develop and manage budgets for recording projects.
  • Ensure that projects adhere to established budgets and timelines.
  • Monitor and assess the recording and mixing phases for artists.
  • Oversee the timely delivery of all necessary materials to production teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all attended events.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including marketing and sales, to strategize post-release activities.
  • Build and sustain relationships with industry professionals, including managers, agents, and promoters.

Candidate Profile:

  • A genuine passion for music and the entertainment industry.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least two years of experience in the music or entertainment sector, with a proven ability to discover new talent.
  • Familiarity with the processes involved in music production and release.
  • Experience working with diverse musical genres.
  • A proactive and self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A collaborative spirit with the flexibility to work independently.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with artists and industry contacts.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities and organizational skills are essential.
  • Willingness to travel and attend evening events as required.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Deep understanding of social media and online platforms.

Work Schedule: Part-time

Compensation: $20 per hour
