Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Safety Specialist to join our team at Western Partitions, Inc. as a key member of our safety program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program that promotes a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and employees to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to ensure employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain a site-specific health and safety plan that meets regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Conduct regular meetings with employees, supervisors, and contractors to discuss safety concerns and promote a culture of safety.
  • Develop and maintain a system for tracking and reporting safety metrics and performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and industry organizations to stay up-to-date on the latest safety regulations and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
