Position Overview: This role will directly influence the future of space exploration, requiring meticulous attention to safety and reliability in spaceflight operations.

You will be an integral member of a dynamic team of engineers, technicians, and specialists, reporting to the Environmental Control and Life Support (ECLS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) Manager. Your contributions will support the MK2 lander vehicle, which is designed to safely deliver crew to the lunar surface.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering operations and project management for the Environmental Control and Life Support IPT.
  • Effectively communicate and implement the vision, strategic objectives, and performance standards across the IPT.
  • Oversee daily coordination and execution of planning, development, and delivery of IPT milestones and products.
  • Utilize your expertise in project management and technical integration to ensure efficient and cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintain technical, cost, and schedule baselines for the IPT.
  • Prepare for and conduct IPT reviews.
  • Support the IPT Manager in recruiting and mentoring a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Develop comprehensive plans to meet deliverables while managing key performance metrics.
  • Foster strong relationships with supporting teams to coordinate resources effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering operations or project management.
  • At least 4 years of technical experience in system formulation, research, and development related to spacecraft or aircraft systems.
  • Proven ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships within a diverse team environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with spacecraft crew systems and operations.
  • Experience in Agile project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project and P6 Primavera.
  • Knowledge of space hardware procurement and supplier management.
  • Experience with flight hardware development and qualification processes.
