Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee systems engineering projects for the New Glenn Upper Stage, a state-of-the-art heavy-lift launch vehicle aimed at delivering people and cargo to diverse orbits.
  • Work collaboratively across various upper stage subsystems to implement cutting-edge capabilities.
  • Manage the development, distribution, and verification of requirements for engineering solutions while engaging with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Promote the adoption of systems engineering methodologies within the New Glenn program.
  • Create performance metrics to track project development and key milestones.
  • Lead and participate in reviews related to the New Glenn initiative.

This position requires expertise in systems engineering, integration methodologies, and mission-critical operations, necessitating strong leadership and innovative thinking in challenging situations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace engineering, or a related discipline.
  • In-depth understanding of systems engineering principles and mission-critical operations.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and mentoring less experienced engineers.
  • Familiarity with systems requirement management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Must fulfill U.S. citizenship or residency criteria.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering within regulated sectors.
  • Previous engagement with governmental organizations and in reliability and safety assessments.
  • Knowledge of system design and evaluation throughout the product lifecycle.
