POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence will oversee the standardization of operational practices across various internal divisions and stakeholders. This role is crucial for enhancing scalability, optimizing efficiencies, and refining processes through the use of technology and data analytics. The individual will also manage outsourced service providers and integrate both internal and third-party data sources into the Cardone Ventures data lakehouse. A deep understanding of industry best practices in sales, marketing, finance, operations, and professional services, combined with a robust grasp of technology, will be essential for success in this position.

OBJECTIVES

  • Collaborate with the COO to spearhead the growth of the Business Operations department in alignment with the long-term strategic plan.
  • Lead the team in partnering with technology to integrate the company's applications and third-party data sources into the centralized data lakehouse.
  • Develop a communication strategy to engage stakeholders and support all initiatives effectively.
  • Work alongside the PMO team to ensure the successful execution of operational projects.
  • Guarantee the consistent application of data strategy from an operational viewpoint across all departments.
  • Oversee the establishment of a centralized reporting function within Business Operations.
  • Create forecasts and develop dashboards for internal departments and stakeholders to facilitate understanding of business health and identify opportunities for strategic improvement.
  • Implement exception reporting and automation to maintain data quality across key source systems, collaborating with technology to utilize a hub-and-spoke data model or ESB framework.
  • Evaluate new technologies to enhance operational efficiencies and revenue generation.
  • Encourage cross-team collaboration to improve interdepartmental communication efficiencies.
  • Manage the deployment and oversight of SaaS solutions.
  • Establish high standards of data quality, accuracy, and process consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting methodologies used by sales and marketing teams.
  • Facilitate alignment between Sales and Marketing to identify opportunities, progress towards marketing objectives, and ensure process alignment for lead routing and ownership throughout the sales funnel.

COMPETENCIES

  • High emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to navigate complex discussions with a diverse array of stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in architecting and managing systems, including CRM, accounting/GL systems, operational systems, and other financial systems.
  • Advanced understanding of SaaS deployment.
  • Capability to map and organize processes within and across functions.
  • Advanced technical skills to effectively communicate with the technology team regarding potential obstacles.
  • Proficient in reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SAP Business Objects, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of the sales pipeline, sales processes, forecasting, and trend analysis.
  • Ability to consult with various teams to identify process inefficiencies and establish improvements.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between marketing and sales.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • MBA or M.Sc. in a relevant field preferred (not mandatory). Relevant fields include operations, finance, computer science, engineering, data science, or similar.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a Business Operations role.
  • Experience in leading and building operations or similar teams.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SAP Business Objects, or similar.
  • Experience in integrating multiple sources into a centralized data management platform.
  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Proven track record of successfully launching new products.
