Position Summary

As the Vice President of Engineering at Radix, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading significant advancements in our product and engineering strategies. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, you will influence our technological direction, improve the effectiveness of global engineering teams, and refine our cost of goods sold (COGS) to ensure scalability, efficiency, and innovation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Product and Engineering Leadership
    • Establish and implement a product roadmap that aligns with business goals and market demands, leading to successful product introductions and upgrades.
    • Encourage innovation by integrating emerging technologies and best practices to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Team Management and Development
    • Oversee and mentor engineering teams across various locations, ensuring high performance and engagement levels.
    • Foster a collaborative and accountable culture that encourages continuous learning and professional development.
    • Optimize team structures and workflows to adapt to changing business requirements and achieve project objectives.
  • Execution and Delivery Oversight
    • Manage the software development lifecycle to guarantee timely, high-quality releases that fulfill customer expectations.
    • Implement and track KPIs (e.g., DORA metrics) to enhance engineering productivity and product outcomes.
    • Utilize agile methodologies to expedite development processes and improve market entry speed.
  • Cost Efficiency and Optimization
    • Enhance COGS by identifying and executing cost-reduction strategies without sacrificing product quality or performance.
    • Oversee engineering budgets to ensure effective resource distribution and compliance with financial objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Alignment
    • Synchronize engineering priorities with product management, sales, and other stakeholders to maintain clear and consistent communication.
    • Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding engineering progress, milestones, and potential challenges.

Technical Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of engineering experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity, developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software architecture, cloud-native frameworks, and contemporary data platforms.
  • Experience in integrating diverse data sources and ensuring smooth data flow.
  • Strong background in ETL/ELT processes and utilizing business intelligence tools.
  • Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing).
