Position Summary:
As the Vice President, you will spearhead essential business operations across the Middle Market sector, focusing on the strategic execution of transformational initiatives and operational planning at the unit level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Utilize your extensive technical expertise and deep understanding of the commercial and Middle Market landscape to refine business strategies and implement comprehensive roadmaps for projects aimed at enhancing business and technological capabilities.
  • Change Management: Provide robust leadership in change management and stakeholder engagement, ensuring effective communication throughout complex project environments.
  • Program Sponsorship: Lead and champion business transformation initiatives to achieve strategic and operational objectives, thereby driving improved performance metrics.
  • Technology Enablement: Oversee the execution of technology initiatives, including Policy Center migration and AI applications, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Operational Strategy: Direct business processing, co-sourcing, outsourcing, and vendor management strategies to optimize underwriting workflows.
  • Portfolio Management: Take charge of strategic portfolio management, conducting data analysis to identify industry trends that inform business strategies.
  • Talent Development: Formulate a top-tier talent strategy to address current and future business needs, leveraging a foundational skills framework for workforce planning.

Reporting Structure:
Reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Claims and Operations, leading a team of executives and operations-focused associates.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in Commercial Property and Casualty, with a preference for middle market underwriting, product, or pricing experience.
  • 10+ years of management experience in leading strategic transformation initiatives.
  • 5+ years of experience in people leadership roles.

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree is required, with postgraduate studies preferred.

Certifications:
Professional designations such as CPCU are highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies:
Proven ability to establish strategic direction, build organizational talent, and lead change initiatives effectively. Strong understanding of commercial lines operations is essential, along with exceptional communication skills across all management levels.
