Position Summary:
The Account Manager for the Customer Operations team will oversee North American clients, ensuring efficient Order to Cash processes. Responsibilities include customer demand management, forecasting, and backlog oversight. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Sales and various cross-functional teams.

  • Maintain consistent and effective communication with customers, sales, and internal teams.
  • Deliver customer account support, identify challenges, and implement corrective measures to optimize outcomes. This involves processing orders in Oracle/SAP, adjusting shipping timelines as per factory planners, and confirming shipping schedules.
  • Proactively strive for excellence in quality, accuracy, and process consistency to meet customer service metrics.
  • Manage customer demand by aligning supply and communication, resolving operational challenges to meet customer scheduling needs, including logistics optimization.
  • Assess customer demand inputs, engage with clients to understand order patterns, drive inventory consumption, and stay updated on product transitions.
  • Collaborate with demand, supply planning, and logistics teams to align supply allocation with customer and internal requirements.
  • Lead operational projects to fulfill customer needs, such as ERP, EDI modifications, or IT implementations affecting fulfillment or supply chain processes.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly revenue reports, identifying potential risks and opportunities related to revenue plans.
  • Work with the Analytics team to enhance reporting and dashboard requirements to support Sales Teams and Customers.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: BS/BA/MS in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in driving operational excellence and process improvement.
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic team player with strong communication skills to foster collaboration.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or similar roles.
  • Experience in managing operational challenges related to order backlog and identifying inefficiencies.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and business analytics capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and shipping processes is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (macros, tables, pivots, functions).

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation may vary based on several factors, including education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and geographic location. The salary range reflects potential compensation for this role. Participation in Western Digital's Short-Term Incentive Plan and annual Long-Term Incentive program may be available based on performance.
