As a Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be to develop and enhance relationships with off-premise accounts in the designated territory. Your efforts will focus on maximizing the sales of our supplier's beverage brands through strategic planning, effective sales techniques, and clear communication, all aimed at achieving both company and supplier goals.

Compensation Overview

  • Competitive salary of $41,000 plus commission and incentives
  • Sign-on bonus of $1,500
  • Mileage reimbursement at 65.5 cents per business mile
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular visits to accounts and establish efficient routing patterns for daily coverage.
  • Analyze the account base by identifying opportunities through site visits and completing necessary assessments to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations that align company priorities with customer needs, including product placements and promotional strategies.
  • Maintain optimal product levels by managing inventory and restocking shelves where permissible.
  • Educate account personnel on priority brands through training sessions.
  • Manage customer account receivables by processing credits and returns in a timely manner.
  • Provide exceptional service by addressing customer issues and referring them to management when necessary.
  • Achieve sales and merchandising targets as set by management.
  • Strategize on achieving objectives by understanding pricing and product programming on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with management on inventory levels and alert them to potential demand fluctuations.
  • Meet performance standards by achieving distribution, volume, and activity goals for supplier brands.
  • Ensure brand visibility within accounts by maintaining standards and utilizing effective point-of-sale materials.
  • Collect payments from accounts where legally permissible.
  • Support new account openings by developing initial orders in collaboration with the Field Sales Manager.
  • Participate in supplier initiatives through sales calls and promotional events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of sales experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
  • Proof of auto insurance is necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers.
  • Frequently required to reach overhead, squat, and bend.
  • Ability to lift and carry 45-65 pounds.
