Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative is a vital member of our team at Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility, responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience. This role involves patient registration, check-in, and phone calls, requiring excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients, collecting necessary information and verifying insurance details.
  • Accurately schedule new and existing patients in our practice management system.
  • Communicate appointment information, directions, and other essential details to patients.
  • Prepare and manage patient charts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Answer patient calls, schedule appointments, and direct calls as needed.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of healthcare plan requirements and health plan networks.
  • Ensure timely communication with patients, families, and staff.
Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Customer Service experience required.
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred.

  • Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and business ethics guidelines.
  • Prompt and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling interruptions and meeting deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

This role requires working in a clinic setting, with frequent bending, lifting, standing, and sitting. Travel to other work locations may be required.
