Housing Support Services Specialist

The Housing Support Services Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting individuals residing in affordable housing communities who face challenges in sustaining stable living conditions. Collaborating closely with property management teams, the Specialist liaises with various service providers to foster stable tenancies and promote community cohesion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents in maintaining housing stability
  • Assess and identify the needs of residents
  • Facilitate connections to external service organizations
  • Address and resolve tenancy-related concerns
  • Connect residents with financial assistance resources
  • Encourage and support community engagement initiatives
  • Conduct assessments to identify community needs
  • Participate in meetings focused on homelessness prevention
  • Maintain accurate records in the database

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related discipline
  • Three to five years of experience in case management
  • Knowledgeable in trauma-informed care practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and a team-oriented individual
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently
  • Self-motivated and accountable
