Role Overview
The Senior Application Security Engineer is a pivotal role within our Cyber Security team, dedicated to safeguarding the information systems of Capital Markets. This position emphasizes collaboration with the development community to ensure adherence to the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and enterprise security policies.

Key Responsibilities
The Senior Application Security Engineer will:

  • Act as a subject matter expert, leveraging expertise to address complex security challenges while adhering to established policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure that all code scanning vulnerabilities are managed in accordance with organizational standards, collaborating closely with developers to rectify issues prior to production deployment.
  • Engage with development and security architecture teams on application security topics, including vulnerability remediation and best practices.
  • Oversee the operational management of code scanning tools, ensuring comprehensive scanning and reporting of SAST, SCA, and Container Security issues.
  • Develop and present high-level management reports on the status of the Application Security Program within Capital Markets.
  • Conduct manual testing activities to validate vulnerabilities and penetration testing findings as necessary.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development with a strong emphasis on application security.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including C#, C++, Java, Python, or .Net.
  • The ability to analyze and interpret code deficiencies effectively.
  • Experience in developing and enhancing CI/CD pipelines with a focus on code quality and vulnerability detection.
  • Familiarity with Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST).
  • A thorough understanding of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle components and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.

Work Environment
