At H2M, our wastewater engineers engage in a wide array of projects that cover all phases of project development, from initial planning and feasibility assessments to design, construction, and ongoing maintenance of wastewater systems. We understand the distinct challenges each project presents and effectively tackle design, construction, operational, and maintenance issues with innovative solutions and stringent quality control protocols.

In this position, you will work collaboratively within a project team to facilitate wastewater infrastructure initiatives from conception through to construction, guided by seasoned professionals.

  • Execute engineering responsibilities associated with wastewater collection, transport, and treatment processes throughout various project stages.
  • Conduct engineering evaluations, perform design calculations, and create reports, plans, and specifications with support from senior staff.
  • Oversee construction-related functions, including administration, site assistance, and coordination of reviews and responses.
  • Manage project oversight tasks, liaise with clients, and contribute to environmental assessments and permitting procedures.
  • Supervise technical personnel, engage in field operations, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Assist in business development initiatives through proposal drafting and budget preparation.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical) and have at least 5 years of experience in the design and management of wastewater treatment facilities and systems. Professional Engineer (PE) certification in New York or the capability to secure it within 6 months is preferred.

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering software.

H2M offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 annually, with variations based on experience, specialization, and certifications.
