At H2M, our wastewater engineers participate in a wide array of projects that span all phases, from initial planning and feasibility assessments to the design, construction, and ongoing maintenance of wastewater systems. In this position, you will work collaboratively within a project team to advance wastewater infrastructure initiatives from conception to construction, benefiting from the guidance of seasoned professionals.

  • Execute engineering responsibilities associated with wastewater collection, transportation, and treatment processes throughout various project stages.
  • Conduct engineering evaluations, perform design calculations, and produce reports, plans, and specifications with support from senior staff.
  • Oversee construction-related functions, including administration, site assistance, and coordination of reviews and feedback.
  • Manage project oversight tasks, liaise with clients, and assist in environmental assessments and permitting procedures.
  • Supervise technical personnel, engage in fieldwork, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives through proposal drafting and budgetary support.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical) and have at least 5 years of experience in the design and management of wastewater treatment facilities and systems. Professional Engineer (PE) certification in New York or the ability to secure it within six months is preferred.

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering software.

H2M offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 annually, with variations based on experience, specialization, and certifications.
