Overview:
The Electrical Field Specialist II is essential in managing project operations, executing site evaluations, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring that construction initiatives are executed efficiently and in accordance with established standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Take a proactive role in supervising construction initiatives, including tracking progress, quality assurance, and adherence to safety regulations.
Work closely with project managers to achieve project goals.
Site Evaluations:
Carry out thorough site evaluations to confirm that construction tasks comply with project designs, specifications, and quality benchmarks.
Record and communicate findings and coordinate corrective measures when necessary.
Surveying and Layout:
Conduct and oversee surveying and layout activities, ensuring precise measurements, dimensions, and elevations.
Provide mentorship to junior Field Engineers and surveying personnel.
Collaboration and Communication:
Foster effective communication and collaboration among project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Address design and construction-related challenges promptly.
Quality Control:
Spearhead quality assurance initiatives by performing detailed inspections, confirming adherence to quality benchmarks, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Ensure that as-built documentation accurately reflects construction modifications.Safety and Compliance:
Advocate for and enforce safety protocols and guidelines on the construction site, promoting a culture of safety.
Conduct safety audits and investigations as required.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Gather, analyze, and interpret construction data, material usage, and progress to aid decision-making.
Create detailed reports and summaries for project management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, electrical engineering, or a related field.
2-5 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering, particularly in electrical industrial construction projects.
Proficiency in surveying instruments, measurement tools, and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and leadership capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Willingness to work in an outdoor construction setting.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS Some responsibilities are performed within a standard office environment under typical lighting and climate-controlled conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is generally low to moderate.When on-site, employees may encounter wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious locations, and outdoor weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment can often be loud.Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and personnel, typically achieved by working standard business hours.
Some positions may require flexibility in working hours to meet job demands and management directives.
