Position Overview

Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking a dedicated onsite Lead Systems Architect. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the evaluation and engineering of the SecureView solution.

Key Responsibilities

Your success will stem from your ability to design, implement, and document comprehensive testing strategies that encompass both functional and security criteria. You will engage in systematic, exploratory, and intricate ad-hoc testing while meticulously tracking defects, challenges, and enhancements throughout the project lifecycle. Your additional responsibilities will include:

  • Creating content for user manuals, training guides, proposals, testing documentation, and technical papers.
  • Identifying and analyzing software performance issues, providing innovative solutions to enhance system efficiency.
  • Participating in discussions regarding design and system architecture.
  • Utilizing and advancing automated testing frameworks.
  • Overseeing and implementing testing infrastructure while auditing and validating the work of peers.
Candidate Profile

You excel in leading a small team of engineers, providing direction, managing timelines, and accurately estimating the effort required for various tasks. You possess the ability to break down complex challenges, considering external influences and contributing to improved team processes. You take pleasure in mentoring colleagues and offering guidance. Your understanding of customer needs allows you to manage interactions independently.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, coupled with 8 years of experience in quality assurance, systems engineering, or network administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
  • 5 years of expertise with networking devices.
  • 2 years of familiarity with industry-standard tools.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel less than 10%, as necessary.

  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., git/bitbucket).
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Xen).
