Cloud Operations Specialist

The Opportunity:
As a Cloud Operations Specialist, you possess the expertise to establish cloud environments and manage computer networking, storage, and virtual networks—ultimately, how to effectively utilize cloud technology. We are seeking a Cloud Operations infrastructure specialist to assist our clients in modernizing their IT frameworks and addressing their most complex challenges.

In your role at Booz Allen, you will collaborate closely with cloud architects and engineers to oversee server configurations for contemporary cloud solutions. You will enhance your capabilities within a DevOps framework to set up or provision virtual machines or networks and leverage cloud service providers to advance our clients' significant missions.

Whether you are involved in developing, deploying, or managing IT infrastructures for critical server and network components, you will have the latest technology and the brightest colleagues at your disposal.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in developing tools and processes to enhance DevOps or DevSecOps maturity through automation of builds, regression testing, monitoring, or deployment across environments.
  • Experience in developing, troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues related to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in Linux system administration and scripting using shell languages, including Bash.
  • Experience in software development using high-level programming languages, such as Java, Python, or TypeScript.
  • Experience in creating enterprise cloud-native solutions, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, and tools for cluster management and monitoring.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining containers using tools like Docker.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
  • Knowledge of provisioning computer networking and storage, setting up servers for the platform, including virtual machines (VM) or networks, and provisioning machines in virtualization platforms like VSphere, Xen, or Harvester.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree.

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Docker, AWS, Jenkins, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of creating and enhancing continuous automation across multiple technical stacks.
  • Knowledge of triaging and resolving issues related to both open-source and commercial tools in public cloud environments.
  • Secret clearance.
