Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of our finance team, the Finance Operations Manager will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations across the United States. This position is integral to ensuring compliance and optimizing our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Group Tax to manage US Federal and State income tax returns, focusing on data collection and process optimization.
  • Act as the primary contact for US sales and use tax, payroll, and local tax matters, ensuring accurate data analysis and payment processing.
  • Oversee accounting functions, including account analysis, reconciliation, journal entries, and monthly operating expense accruals.
  • Prepare and file various government reports, census surveys, and business license applications.
  • Support payroll functions by assisting with the posting and reconciliation of payroll-related transactions.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to guarantee timely and precise financial reporting.
  • Serve as a superuser for the D365 finance module and assist with various ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field, with 5-7 years of relevant experience; an MBA or CPA is preferred.
  • Proficiency in IFRS and US GAAP, with a solid understanding of accounting practices, reporting, and revenue recognition.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to collaboration.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex issues and solutions to management.
  • Interpersonal skills that facilitate effective teamwork across various functional areas.
  • Experience in the Pharma/Biotech industry is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems, preferably D365.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
