We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Firmenich. As a key member of our US Finance Operations team, you will play a critical role in tracking and analyzing expenses and production costs for our manufacturing sites in the US.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor plant controlling activities, focusing on expenses for multiple manufacturing sites, and provide cost analysis to maintain scorecards in accordance with Group and Financial procedures.
- Support local supply chain teams in performance measurement, management reviews, cost reduction, working capital optimization, and investment decisions.
- Participate in Period End Monthly Closing, supporting the local Finance & Administration team, and manage the development of quarterly latest estimates and annual budgets for plants.
- Review and set annual standard costs, ensuring compliance with Standard Rules & Guidelines on standard costing, and contribute to building performance improvement action plans and following up their implementation and achievement.
- Participate in Control and Audit activities led by Finance & Accounting, and develop High Level Control activities to strengthen ICS, analyzing and commenting on COGS variances of the plant in accordance with Group Controlling & Financial procedures.
- Assist in providing a strong understanding of expenses to local operations organizations, supporting all costing and inventories management activities together with local supply chain management, F&A, and other Controllers.

- 5+ years of work experience in manufacturing controlling, with knowledge or desire to learn about product cost accounting.
- Experience in OPEX variance analysis versus Budget, Latest Forecast, and Prior Year.
- Proficient with all IT solutions and strong Microsoft Excel skills, with SAP FICO experience highly desired.
- Effective and professional communication and organization skills.
